14jun2:10 PM3:10 PMWorkshop 1: ADAPT to thrive by Colby Benari

Event Details

The aim of the workshop is to explore the concept of failure in academia. Failure is a part of every academic’s experience, but we rarely discuss the failures of our academic role models. When we experience setbacks we can feel isolated because it feels as though nobody else is having issues. Talking and sharing our experiences is the solution to normalise failure and make us feel less alone. The workshop will be interactive and a great opportunity for participants to discuss their own personal experiences while reflecting on the facilitator and other speakers’ stories. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences in small groups as well as in the plenary sessions.
